Yuwie.com - Social Networking for fun and profit

I recently came across a social networking site that has a bit of a twist. It's called Yuwie.com and it's similar to Facebook or MySpace. You have many of the same features that you'll find on both of those similar social networking sites, like blogging, groups, clubs, etc., but unlike Facebook or MySpace, Yuwie.com passes on some of it's ad revenue to the individuals creating all the content and traffic, the user.

The payout scheme does kind of worry me, as it's set up similarly to pyramid schemes. You get paid for your own page views and those of the friends you invite and so on up to 10 levels. Here's an example of that pay structure that is given in their FAQ:

Now, if I thought me and all my friends could generate 3000 page views every month, I'd be really excited. In all likelihood, it will only be a fraction of that amount. But even if it were only 10% of the amount listed above, I would be happy.

We'll see how it goes. I'll report back in exactly one month from now with how many referrals, pageviews, and the amount of money it actually generates.
