Mystery Topic Challenge #3
The new Mystery Topic Challenge is an interesting one, for sure:
You have a t-shirt. You have to wear it all day, every day. It has one word about you, describing you in some way, written on it. It is from this word that strangers and friends draw their conclusions about you. What is your word, and why?
Goodness, one word to describe me and only one word. I'm not sure it's really possible to condense me into a single word. So, perhaps I should pick a word that encompasses a number of themes, much like myself.
Dictionary.com defines the word eclectic as:
not following any one system, as of philosophy, medicine, etc., but selecting and using what are considered the best elements of all systems.
That sounds to me to be a very good description, so I'm going with eclectic as my single word to appear on my t-shirt. It does a fine job of encompassing a number of themes, but at the same time they are very distinctive in being considered the best in the areas they encompass. That's definitely what I try to be, even if it doesn't work that way all the time. (And sometimes it doesn't feel like it works that way at all.)
Overall, though, I think I could possibly live with my eclectic t-shirt as my only message to the outside world. Not for very long, most likely, as my post count would probably suggest.

Good word! I chose the topic b/c I think it's funny that people are so willing to identify themselves with things I can't believe sometimes, awful tshirt sayings. Eclectic would give me a good first impression though. Great choice!
Excellent word and I think it does fit you well. Great new design; you've been spiffing up the place.
Thanks. I'm glad the time got extended because I was at a loss for...well, a word...for a while there. And yes, I have been trying to clean things up a bit here and there. It's still not really where I want it, but that's probably not going to happen on Blogger.
Was I the only one that read that as electric at first? :)
I love eclectic. I'd love to be considered eclectic. I'm envious. ;)
Loving Dan's comment...hahahaha
Heh, guess it's good I'm not dyslexic, it may have been electric. :)
I was trying to think of a world like that too; something that suggested multiple layers, many facets..etc...i didn't actually come across that one in my search; i like it :-)
