What To Do With Sunday
I've been wracking my brain for most of the day, off and on, about what to do on this blog that might provide more reader activity or something that could become a regular feature here that could help to get you all involved. I usually don't have much to post about on Sundays and I thought it would make a great day to do a nice regular feature that really gets all of you involved.
I've seen several different concepts at work on different blogs and one that I've always enjoyed and often participated in myself is Comment Friday feature at Blog About Your Blog. The concept is pretty simple, a short post introduces a topic that readers are encouraged to comment about. One person is selected out of those comments to receive a link back on the blog until the next winner is chosen.
I think I would like to do something similar, but obviously I don't want to just copy the idea entirely. I'd like to add something else into the mix that might somehow make it worth more to my readers than just a link back to their blog. I'm not exactly sure how to accomplish that, though.
This blog doesn't currently make much at all, so offering some sort of monetary incentive is out. I could offer to review the winner of the comments and that still might be a possibility, but a review each week could be a bit more time consuming than my schedule will allow at the moment. I'm still considering it, though, so that might be the answer I'm looking for.
Until I have it all sorted out, though, what would you like to see as a regular feature here?

I am finding that Sunday may not be a good day for anything in the Blogosphere (I seem to be using that term more than I think I would). It just seems that there is not the interest that there is on a weekday.
I like reading about your recommendations. Maybe you should just schedule them for once or twice a week?
@james - I realize weekends are pretty slow, but I like to post something every day. If I do something cool on Sundays then even if people don't do much with it on Sunday itself then they can always catch it on Monday.
@jayne - I guess I could do something along those lines. Recently, though, I've done more than one or two a week and could probably keep up that schedule for a while as long as I can keep discovering interesting sites to report on. I'll definitely keep it in mind, though.
